Mediasi yang digelar untuk mencari solusi terkait polemik angkutan penumpang di kawasan Pelabuhan Kendari tersebut dihadiri unsur Forkopimda, pihak KSOP Kendari, serta Pelindo cabang Kendari. Ketua Asosiasi Driver Pelabuhan Kendari, Sahidin, membenarkan adanya ketegangan dalam forum tersebut. “Benar, sempat terjadi ketegangan antara kedua pihak,” ungkapnya singkat. Suasana memanas dipicu perbedaan pandangan terkait wilayah operasional dan sistem penjemputan penumpang di area pelabuhan.  Perwakilan ojek pangkalan mengaku keberatan dengan keberadaan ojol yang dinilai mengganggu mata pencaharian mereka, sementara pihak ojol menegaskan bahwa mereka beroperasi sesuai aturan aplikasi dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Perdebatan yang berlangsung alot sempat memicu emosi beberapa peserta hingga nyaris terjadi adu fisik.
